Remove the Nano Banana Watermark and Make the Background Transparent
Images made with Nano Banana (Gemini) on a solid background get a sparkle mark in the bottom-right corner. BGPeel treats that mark as part of the background and removes it together with the background.
Why does it get removed too?
The mark is a semi-transparent white overlay on top of the background. BGPeel treats background-colored pixels tinted with white as background, like a pale glow, as long as they are connected to the background. So a mark sitting on the background becomes transparent along with it, with no extra step.
How to use it
- Generate the image in Nano Banana with a set background color, e.g. “solid magenta (#FF00FF) background”.
- Drop the images onto BGPeel. Many at once is fine.
- Click “Convert”, check the results, and download PNGs or a zip.
If the mark remains
- The mark overlaps the object: it isn't connected to the background, so it stays. The surest fix is to regenerate with some margin so the object stays clear of the bottom-right corner.
- It sits on the background but a faint trace remains: raise “Light background detection” under “Fine-tuning”. Raising it too far can erase white object edges.
Good to know
- Only the visible mark is removed. Invisible identifiers embedded in the image, such as SynthID, stay intact.
- Images are never uploaded; they are processed only in your browser.
- Photos with busy backgrounds are out of scope. The tool is built for images made on a solid background.
